The following programs and events are offered by the Parks & Recreation Department every year.  More information about each program/event will be posted as they approach.  Watch the "upcoming events" and "upcoming programs" to the right.

SEASONAL SUMMER PROGRAMS

Players League Basketball - Ages 11-15

STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 11th 2018: This 6-week program held at Community Park, consists of a 1-week evaluation, 3 weeks of league games and a 2 week double elimination tournament. The program is open to all kids ages 11-15. The league runs every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6PM - 8PM.

Instructional League Basketball - Ages 7-11

STARTS TUESDAY, JUNE 12th 2018: ​This 6-week program held at Community Park consists of 3 weeks of instruction and game experience and 3 weeks of league games ending with a double elimination tournament. The program is open to all kids ages 7-11. The league will run every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6PM - 8PM.

Street Hockey- Ages 8-14

STARTS TUESDAY, JUNE 19th 2018: This 6 week program, held at the Lorane Hollow Park Tennis Courts, consists of 3 weeks of instruction and game experience, and 3 weeks of all game play. The program is open to all kids ages 8-14, and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM - 11AM.

Tennis - Ages 6-14

STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 18th 2018: This 6 week program, directed by Certified PTR Professionals Paul McDonough and William Hill, with assistance from high school tennis players, will teach a progressive step-by-step approach to building athletic and tennis skills through fun games, exercises, and playing the game. There are groupings for 6-9 year olds (9AM-10AM)and 10-14 year olds (10AM-12NOON). The program runs every Monday and Wednesday at Community Park.

Lacrosse - Ages 8-14

STARTS TUESDAY, JUNE 19th 2018: This 6-week Lacrosse Program consists of a mixture of instruction and drills to help teach the fastest game on two feet. The program is open to all kids ages 9-13. Our staff is comprised of current and former Exeter High School lacrosse players as well as a few days with the varsity coaches from the high school.  The season will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 9AM -11AM at Community Park.

Baseball Skills Camp - Ages 7-14

​WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY, JULY 11th-13th 2018: Held at Pineland Park for 3 days, Coach Craig Antush brings many years of playing, coaching, and camp experience back to Exeter and will focus on the aspects of throwing, fielding, base running, hitting, and pitching. Open to boys and girls ages 7-14.

Summer Playgrounds - Ages 5-14

STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 18th 2018: Over the 8-week summer playground program, starting in June, your child will be involved in a variety of theme-oriented activities offered at Lorane Hollow, Community, Farming Ridge and Pineland Park. Each park has scheduled weekly arts and crafts and every week there will be a special event for the children, or even the entire family to participate in. Some of the special events planned are the Playground Olympics, Crestwood Pool, Body Zone Trip, Reading Phillies Day, and much more. Parks will be open from 9am to 2pm Monday through Thursday (no extended care). Special trips every Friday.

Summer Sports Camp - Ages 11-15

STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 18th 2018: Youths ages 11-15 are invited to participate in a more sports oriented playground program to be held Mon – Thurs. from 11am-2pm at Community Park, running for 8-weeks starting in June.

Summer Playground Registration
** PLEASE NOTE - These two nights will serve as the primary Registration time for all Summer Playground Locations. During these sessions, you'll be able to get t-shirt information, ask questions from head leaders, view and sign permission slips and waivers, and meet some of our awesome staff for 2018. We highly encourage parents and guardians to try to make one of these two days. Registrations will not be accepted at the Township Building.
